The AGU Conference Center is located in the headquarter office of the American Geophysical Union, an international non-profit scientific association with 60,000 members from 137 countries. The design concept of our recently renovated net zero energy building was conceived in response to our commitment to innovation, education, research, and the climate, by creating a living demonstration of Earth and space science, representing the AGU mission and enduring values, to serve as a community resource and provide inspiration and learning for generations to come. The state-of-the-art Conference Center offers pristine meeting room facilities, equipped with in-demand audio-visual technology, supported with a full range of catering options. All rooms are equipped with either monitors or screens, appropriate in size for the room capacity, connectable to your laptop for presentations.
The Conference Center further supports the building’s net zero energy and LEED Platinum certification goals from facility design to operating standards, including: recycling and composting; energy-saver equipment; re-purposed materials in design; compostable service ware; Filtered water; catering vendors rated with a Green Restaurant Association certification; sustainably-sourced coffee products and locally sourced produce
